So the fever is still raging (100.4 when last checked)but I dont want to miss any more work or school. Well thats not true..if I could miss work and still get paid, then so be it. Same with school, if I could miss it and stil get A's, then that'd be nice..but no dice. So back to work (at the ass crack of dawn) and school tomorrow. Hopefully my kids have been okay. My mom talked to Tammy and she said KE has been really sick, he had a double ear infection and his dumbf*ck pediatrician gave him a FLU SHOT! What!? If a person has been sick, or had a fever 7 days before a flu shot, then you can't get one, especially in a child. I know that because I was supposed to get a flu shot at the end of October and got the flu (coincedentally, lol) and wasn't able to get the shot until the middle of the November..Anyway, I said all that to say this, if you get the flu shot while you are sick, then you are most likely going to get the flu. So now my sweet baby KE has a double ear infection and the flu. I would be so upset w/the pediatrician, as in finding a new one and filing a complaint with the doctor's office. Anyway, Moo is still not 100% well..She was looking peaky when I saw her on Monday, and my mom said the yesterday she had pink cheeks, a pink & runny nose and wasn't eating. Tammy called today just to check in and ask my mom some questions and Moo still isn't eating. I know the feeling, she may still have a fever or is swallowing phlegm that is making her not want to eat. Im right there with you baby girl. KP was absent on Tuesday and today was her day off so hopefully she isn't sick. She was fine on Friday, but then again so was I. So on Monday KE was absent, Moo was a little sick, KP was absent, so it was just her & EB. Then today it was Moo, and oh yeah baby SE was back!! YAY!!! So she's been there all week and apparently has been attached to Tammy's hip. Hopefully she's okay w/me tomorrow, she was during her first few days, but she's been out for 2 weeks w/strep. So tomorrow should be good times if all the kids are back and still sick. Ahh shoot me now.
Okay wedding wise. Nothing big this week. Rachel & I are going to look at bridesmaid dresses on Saturday and we are going for lunch. So that is the lastest major development. I've contacted a few bakeries to make our cake since we aren't using JB's. But the problem comes when we need to schedule a tastin. Ev only has off Thursday during the week and this quarter I have class from 5-10 T-TH & from 8-10 on M-W so I can go on M or W while he can only go on Th. And the weekend is totally out because most places are doing weddings on Saturdays (and Evan doesn't get done with work til 8 or 9) and none of them are even open on Sunday. So we'll see how that goes. Im not missing my own cake tasting, but at the same time, having missed 2 days of classes this week, I really don't want to miss anymore. Oh wait, I've missed 3 days because of the tasting at JB's on the 9th. Dammit. I need time off just to plan this wedding.

Still here with extra sickness added
What I love more then the first day of being sick is the second day when all the symptoms multiple and get worse. Does anyone else experience this phenomenon or is it just me? I think the first day should be the worse followed by progressively better days. OH NO, not me. Today, I have all the same things as yesterday, except 8 jillion times worse. Im tired but can't sleep, congested and my nose is running, chest congestion, high fever etc you get the drift. It sucks. Im not going to class tonight (good thing Im ahead in my lessons) so hopefully I can go back tomorrow. Well regardless, I am going back tomorrow. I know that the teachers are at their wits ends with my kids, who aren't bad, but are babies, and sometimes the other teachers don't want to deal with them, which is bad news. Im sure I'll hear all about it tomorrow. God, just grow up and put on your big girl panties and deal with it. The only one who is sane is Tammy, and thats cause she's been doing this for 20 years. Anyway, thats all for now. My train of thought only stays on the tracks for a short time when Im sick and derails easily..
PS: I heart you*tube! They have all these old miss*usa/universe/america pageants that I used to dream in front of when I was a little girl and now I can relieve the memories..LOL..Im such a dork!

The #1 reason I love my laptop (and other information)
The #1 reason I love my laptop is because I can blog from my bed when Im sick! Yes, I am sick again. It seems my body likes to get sick every 2 months whether I want to or not. Anyway, it all started last Wednesday with a sore throat which I attributed to the cold snap that was coming through (it didn't help that it went from 60 to 30 in less then 12 hours here). By Friday, my throat was worse but I didn't have any other symptoms. On Saturday, I spent all day cleaning, and stirring up dust, cat hair, etc. and those things SEVERELY affect my allergies, but it had to be done. Anyway, Saturday night I wasn't feeling very well, but I just slapped on some Vicks Vapo-Rub and off to bed I went. Fast forward to this morning. I feel AWFUL!! Stuffed nose (but is running at the same time) chest congestion, ears feel full, my whole head feels like Im under water and there is extreme pressure being put on. It's not good news. So I went to work and opened and came home at 7:30 when Kathleen got there. Im just glad I don't have class tonight cause I would for sure have to be missing it. I got home around 8:00 and took my Tylenol Severe Congestion/Cold and it knocked me out for 4 hours! I slept like a rock until 12:00 and I still feel sleepy now, which is good news today, but not so much tomorrow when I have to go back to work and to school and I can't quite just stop in the middle of my day and take a 4 hour nap. Oh, and I am FREEZING! When I was younger and was sick, my mom's criteria for me getting to stay home from school was to have a fever or to be vomitting. Well, I will hold vomit back because I hate doing it and I NEVER had a fever (which wasn't always good news, there were a few times I was defn. sent home from school because I was too sick to be there but never had a fever.) On top of that, my temperature always runs low, like 97.6 is normal for me, which means anything above 99.5 is a fever. Today, it's 100.9. So yeah, Im sick and I am cold because of my fever.
Thinking of cold, right now it's like 10 degrees. The low tonight is -11 and the high is a balmy 18. Nice. I love winter. At least it's not as cold here as it was in Green Bay last night. We watched the Green Bay/New York game and they said it was -25 there. Good Lord. We also looked up some places that are usually colder then Indy, like Antartica, and it was WARMER there then in Indy!! How screwed is that!? It was 36 in Antartica and it was -12 in Indy. WTF?!?!? That's crazy. But they are calling for 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow, which usually isn't enough for a snow day, but with the wind chill being what it is, we may get the day off. Im hoping so.
Didn't do very much wedding wise this weekend. We were SUPPOSED to go register, but we HAD to stay home and watch FOOTBALL. Im sorry, but when the Colts are done, the season is done and the Colts were done last Sunday. I don't care about football again until August. So I was pretty pissy about that, but I was also sick so that made the pissy feelings even worse. I don't like to be made mad when I don't feel well. Rachel & I are meeting this weekend for lunch and for her to pick out a dress. And then we'll have everyone ordered. We havent picked a cake, a menu, invitations etc. I know its 8 mos. away, but it seems like we still have a lot to do. Oh well..
Okay..I have more to say but Im starting to get a headache so more at a later date:)

Yesterday Continued...
1. So people are up in arms here about this murder that occured on Sunday night that involved 2 young mothers (22 & 24) and 2 infants (4 mos. & 23 mos.) Okay, I understand about being upset about the babies being killed, becaus the police report states that both infants were "shot multiple times in the face." That makes my stomach turn, what makes my stomach turn more, however, is that fact that both of these women were somehow involvedi in the drug scene. What also worries me is that both of them worked for DCFS. When the police entered the home there was over a pound of marijuana, a scale, a safe, money, and 3 long guns (Im assuming these were assualt rifles, but the report didn't say.) So it sounds like these 2 young women were "cutters" for drug dealers. Meaning they packaged the drugs for sale. Coincedentally, one of the murder victims boyfriend is currently in jail serving time in relation to a druge charge. She was actually on the phone with him at the time of the break-in/murder. He hard part of the commotion and called his mother who called 911 and sent them to the wrong address. Obviously, drugs are involved. Now here are 2 things, 1)these mothers worked for DCFS, they, of all people, should know that your kids are GONE if CPS finds out you have drugs in the house 2) how could you knowingly put your child in that kind of situation? At this same house, with the same residents, police were called in September because the women & children were held hostage, in the almost exact same situation at the one Sunday night, but no one was injured. I think that may have been a "warning." Now the man is in jail and the women are alone and are now dead. These babies did not deserve to die the way they did. These mothers were in charge of their well-being and to take care of them becaues they couldn't take care of themselves. Now, "Sheriff" Anderson says he is going to pursue these criminals "like dogs" and put them in a "cage" where they belong. He also stated that there is a special place in hell for people of this caliber...in not so many words. Okay..I understand that, but people who put their children in harms way, knowing that something like this could happen to them, deserve a hot seat as well. Parents need to be held accountable for their actions. Now I know these mothers can't now, but what about back in September? They work for DCFS!! That should have been a red-flag. It's just an unfortunate situation in general.
2. Poop in the Colts. As someone in the Let It Out column of the local newspaper stated, "In regard to the Colts/Chargers game, I feel like a parent of a student that has not achieved a goal that I know was within reach." There is no reason the Colts should have lost on Sunday (although, I've called that game for 2 weeks, not that it makes me any happier). At the same time, the team played horribly! They deserved the loss. The Chargers played better and with more heart. The Colts came out strong but just fell apart after the first half, and they are usually better in the 2nd half. They were a mess. We were rated #2 after the Patriots in the AFC. I would have loved to have seen a Green Bay/Indy Super Bowl. Our team this year was better than last year. We should have had that AFC title in the bag. Also, Coach Dungy will make a decision on whether he wants to leave or stay with Indy for the next season. I think he is going to go back to Tampa. His whole family is there and he is an extremly family-oriented man. It will be sad to see him go, but new blood on the team is always (well most of the time) a good thing. Also, for those who say that "Peyton blew it." Peyton does not encompass the entire team. Harrison, Addai, Sanders, Clark etc, all played like a 2nd rate team, not the defending world champions. Sucks, but at least now Evan & I can go back to dating instead of spending all our time watching football.
3. We have some mentally challenged, in need of helmets families at the preschool. For instance, we have this one mom who comes in, every day, late or pushing the time that school starts and is very dramatic. Her youngest daughter is SUCH a baby. She is almost 5, still sucks her thumb, throws fits, doesn't listen, and is all around kinf of annoying. So she comes in yesterday and is being her dramatic self and tells one of our teachers that she "must talk to her RIGHT NOW, IN PRIVATE." So of course we all want to know whats going on. Well I never found out, but here's my hunch..this family owes preschool quite a bit of money and they don't want to pay..So they made up some "drastic" situation to get out of bringing their daughter or to gain sympathy from the director and get their bill reduced. Thats just dumb. Own up! Pay your shit! We are looking at having to drastically cut hours because people aren't paying (and the director has too soft of a heart). It sucks. I don't want to loose my job because YOU can't/won't pay your bills. Also, A LOT of these parents let their children learn too much and they loose their innocence. We have children who know about sex, where babies come from, drugs, guns, killing, suicide etc. Stuff I can't imagine letting my kids know about. It's just insane. You should have to take parenting classes before having children to make sure your not too much of a mess and won't f*ck up your kids.
4. Oh good gracious..So we went to Posie Patch on Saturday to look at bridesmaids gowns and TWO of my FOUR bridesmaids showed up..nice. I don't think I'll ever recommend Bridal Superstore to anyone. I mean, they have a great selection of wedding gowns, but when we tried dresses on (bridal) the only reason we got any kind of one on one attention is because the designer of the Allure Bridal Line was in the store, and he is the one who got me my dress. The first girl I talked to on my first visit there lost the dresses I had chosen to try on at my next appointment and the girl I had at my subsequent appointment, when I had to try on dresses, was inattentive and rude. Then, we made an appointment for last Saturday so that "hopefully" we wouldn't have to wait and there would be ample fitting rooms. NO, to both things. We got there and had to wait 30 minutes for there to be room space and then the dressing room was so small they didn't want anyone going back there. Well let me tell you 2 things, bridesmaid dresses run small, like wedding gowns, and therefore, on most average size girls, they don't zip up in the back. There was no way I was going to make Angel & Lindsey parade out in dresses that didn't fit. Also, I AM THE BRIDE. I want to see what the girls are trying on and give them my opinion. So I took my happy ass back there and told them they didn't have to come all the way out for the world to see, that we would just look back there. There were way too many people, way too small of space, and not enough employees. It was a pretty long process because they didn't have all the colors we wanted to look at and some of the dresses had broken zippers and as previously mentioned didn't fit so it was hard to tell how the finished dress would look once it was delivered. So Lindsey & Angel chose their dresses and they are so pretty. They dress color is called "chocolate" and the sashes are in the color called "copper." They are gorgeous! They will look sooooo nice! I can't wait for them to be delivered. Thats another thing. The store told me they need to have the full amount of money by the end of May so the dresses can be delivered by September. First, why does it take 3 mos. to get a BM dres??? Second, what if they need fitted? I don't want this to be a last minute thing, so I may request that dresses be paid in full by April (if thats feasible) so we can get them 8 weeks in advance instead of 3 or 4.
5. Lord, school is the same, still expensive and still sucks. Hopefully I graduate by September but we'll see. With this new douchebag running the place and not offering programs, I may never finish.
Okay..thats all for now that I can think of. More later :)

Trying to keep the resolution..
First..I have been SOOOO dead tired when I get home from work & school that I have been a bad blogger. Im trying to get on here daily, I just sometimes don't.
Second..I haven't the foggiest idea why one the ticker from families.com says it's 8mos. 22 days til the wedding and the one from blingyblob.com says 8mos.24days til the wedding. I re-entered all the data on both of them and they both came out with different days. It was 9mos. on the 4th so..I think it's actually in between at 23 days..Anyway, Im not retarded, I do know when my own wedding is, the counters are the dumb ones
So I've officially gone back to working 44 hours a week and being a full time student..And let me tell you, after 3 weeks off IT'S HARD!!!! I don't like it and I haven's missed school at all. I have a computer class that is the most BORING thing on the planet and the teacher reads directly from the book (well, he's done a power point presentation of exactly, word for word, whats in the book) and he drones on for the entire 2 hours. I struggle to stay awake and/or not space out completely. Today we got to leave at 9:15 because the work we have to do is homework. Still, boring at f*ck. I also learned that Brittany has a condition called Grave's Disease. She had been absent the 2 weeks prior to break and neither Angel nor myself could get ahold of her. So we called her Tuesday and she told us it's a thyroid condition and it's so bad that she's seeing a surgeon on the 25th to talk about having her thyroid removed. She took this quarter off but still wants to be in the wedding..and speaking of weddings....
We went to the tasting at JB's last night and I was a little disappointed because the co-ordinator told us that every menu item would be available and there were very few. They had ceasar salad, Waldorf salad & broccoli salad. Then they had broccoli and cheese, glazed carrots, au gratin potatoes (that were to die for), rosemary & garlic roasted potatoes ( also fantastic), italian chicken on almandine rice, lemon pepper chicken on wild rice, sliced roast beef & pork tenderloin. It was all very good, but there really should have been more selection like we were told. I wanted to taste more of the italian selection. I wanted to try the Tuscan chicken and the cheese ravioli and the beef stroganoff. The coordinator said he have the kitchen cook those items but it'd take 30 extra minutes. Umm NO THANKS! And the wedding cake was HORRIBLE! I was so sad. I was hoping that we wouldn't have to outsource for a wedding cake. BUT, I really liked this lady we talked to at the Bridal Show who had ameretto flavored cake and chocolate w/raspberry filling. So we are going to call her and schedule a tasting ASAP! Then we met with the photographer, who was very awesome and her pictures were beautfiul! It is only her second year in the business so her prices are very reasonable and she was very nice. So now we have my dress, the church, the ministers, the reception venue and the photographer. This weekend the bridesmaids are meeting to look over their dress options and the groomsmen will be getting together ASAP.
Okay, there's more, but Im tired and going to bed..More tomorrow.

Oooo I like Lists
1. Where did you meet your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife?
We actually met off an online dating websites. Both of us were sick of the bar scene and neither of us really had time to go out every weekend. We did't think we'd meet anyone and lo & behold, there we were.
2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met them?

May 2007 (on our first date, I know, Im skanky)
5.How did they ask you out (or you ask them out)?
He started asking me out about a month after we started talking..so March of 2007. I told him no until May of 2007. And I only said yes after I prayed about it because I was so fed up w/guys and I didn't want to get hurt again. It was no big deal, he'd been asking for 2 months!

The Indy Zoo & Buca De Beppo. It was amazing!!
7.How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
4 months
8. Has this person ever proposed to you? If so, how?
Yes! September 30, 2007. I had been expecting a proposal forever, even though we hadn't been together that long, I knew we were going to get married. And I kept badgering him about when he was going to do it..and he never did! I was like, well screw it, he's not gonna ask til Christmas like he's been saying so forget it. He was at my house watching the Colts game and just all the sudden turned to me and said "why do you want to get married?" SO I told him why and ask him the same question and he answered me. He then added he "had" the ring and did i want to see it? I said "not unless you are proposing." (Which I figured he wasnt) Instead, he got on one knee & said "I am, will you marry me?" After giggling like a maniac and then screaming, I said yes!
9. Do you and this person have kids together?
Nope, but hopefully I'll be pregnant by this time next year. We want to have kids pretty soon after the wedding. We both are SO ready!
10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?
Since he's a cop in training..Nope...well except speeding..
11. When was the first time you realized that you loved this person?
A month after our first date.
12. Who said I love you first?
I did, and it surprised him..lol!
13. Do you get along with any of the exes of your boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé?
I don't know any of them. But his ex-fiancee, is kind of loopy.
14. Do you trust this person 100%?
With everything.
15. You get along with the in-laws?
Yep. His dad & stepmom are very sweet and his mom is very quiet (which at first I thought meant she didn't like me) but now I know she does and I like her too.
16. What is the best thing this person ever gave you?
His love without conditions. He loves me no matter what. Fat, skinny, make up, no make up, bitchy, nice anything, he is there and is unwavering.
17. What is the most expensive thing this person bought for you?
My engagement ring..And it is GORGEOUS!
18. What is the one thing this person does that gets on your nerves?
He picks at his cuticles when he is nervous or bored..Drives me bonkers!
19. What is the thing you do that gets on their nerves?
Lol..everything. Im messy, and sometimes too sarcastic, but he loves me anyway. I don't do it on purpose!
20. Where do you see each other 15 years from now?
Having our 4 kids, living in the south, going on great vacations, raising great kids, loving and growing with each other.
So Im back at school, which i could TOTALLY do without and I came to get my schedule. So I was here early because I thought I had to get my books and go to class at 5:30. OOOOH NO, I don't have class til 7:50 cause they changed my schedule, NEAT! So it's 5:15 and I've already been here an hour and Im gonna be here about 5 more. Ahh this quarter is starting off great. Not to mention that ass-f*ck Comm. 105 teacher gave me a C- in his class because he & I don't have the same political views. Umm well then maybe you shouldn't ask for OPINION papers! TRUST I will be appealing that grade. Okay, thats all for now. I may post more if I find something that piques my interest. Cause I have time...
We actually met off an online dating websites. Both of us were sick of the bar scene and neither of us really had time to go out every weekend. We did't think we'd meet anyone and lo & behold, there we were.
2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met them?
What a cute nerd!

Well..
So I missed yesterday blogging but here I am:)
First of all..CONGRATULATIONS TO JEREMY & BECCA!!!
They were married yesterday and are now husband and wife!! YAY!! She was beautiful and it was good to see her. The wedding was wonderful and she was just radiant!!
Today my mom & I went to the Bridal Show downtown and it was SOOOO great! The florist who is doing my weddding made a sample of what my bridesmaids bouquets will look like to show at the show and I got to bring it home. It was so fantastic! Beautiful flowers, Im not changing anything!! The flowers are perfect! Better then I ever could have imagined. I think we've also settled on having the girls wear a deep chocolate brown color for their gown w/a shimmery orange accent. The flowers will really stand out. At the bridal show we saw some chocolate brown tuxes that we think the groom and his guys are going to wear the orange colored vests. Also, we have to book a photographer like ASAP because they are really filling up fast. I guess wedding season starts in like March? So people are booking up quickly. We have the tasting at JB's on Wednesday, so hopefully they can do our cake for us instead of having to pay extra to bring someone in. We tasted so many cakes today and they were all PHENOMENAL!!! I like raspberry filling, chocolate truffle filling, chocolate cake, ameretto cake. They were all so good. And we got to talk to people at both Loon Lake & Buca's for the rehearsal dinner. All this planning makes me want to move the wedding up:) On a worrisome note, Im worried about my dress. They measured it really big and Im afraid it won't be able to be taken up enough. We'll see how that goes. My mom let me know that if they can't deliver on what they promised (making sure the dress fits & looks REALLY good) then they WILL be giving us another one. So thats good news..
Okay, I need to head to bed. It's after 10pm (even though the time on this thing is always wrong) and I start puttig my nose back to the grindstone tomorrow. Work & school. Man, I haven't misssed school one little bit. Yeah for long days and longer nights..
More tomorrow..

Announcing...

Jaonia Marie
7lbs. 4.2oz. 20in.
10:49 AM
Prouds Family: Johni, William, & Willie
Im so excited for Jonhi! She has wanted a girl for forever. I went to visit after work today and she is GORGEOUS!! As soon as I figure out how to load picturs onto this thing, I will. She was born at St. Francis-Mooresville and that is an awesome hospital. All the rooms in the Women's Center are Birthing Suites, meaning they are huge, have the bathtub and shower (large bathroom all around) and room for the new father to sleep in the room. They are very, VERY nice. They were also very busy! There were 3 c-sections going on while I was there and Johni said there'd been like 5 other babies born since she had Jaonia. The baby has a head full of dark, soft, curly hair, dark eyes and beautiful skin. She was so tiny! I don't know why I excpected 7lbs to be bigger, but I was wrong. She was very petite. Im so ready to statr a family. The only reason we are waiting now is because we both want the big, formal wedding, otherwise, we'd just have a quickie and get pregnant. Hopefully it is that easy.
Thats all for now. I tossed and turned all night and didnt fall asleep until 2am and had to be up at 5am. So Im EXHAUSTED! More Tomorrow

HARRY POTTER UPDATES
An addition to the earlier post:)
So I didn't know that you could get synopsis of the books and movies on w.i.k.i.p.e.d.i.a. until Monday night when I was trying to figure out what is going on the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie and put it there. I have been looking up all the HP movies and books. Anyway, I said all that to say this. My favorite website muggle-net has been hacked into and they do not know when they will be back online (which is very sad) but I learned 2 new things.
1. Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince-movie is being released right after my birthday on November 21, 2008!!
2. WB is opening a Harry Potter THEMEPARK in Orlando between December 2009 & May 2010 How excited am I?! I will for sure be there for the grand opening. Hopefully by then, Evan & I will have a bambino to take with us! Anyway, thats all for now!!

To myspace or not to myspace...
So I've been online looking up people from the past on myspace. I was thinking about getting one just to be "cool." LOL, but I know some people that it has come back to haunt. Their employers didn't like the fact that they had a myspace. Not to mention some of the myspaces I saw were soooo tacky! I don't know. It seems like everyone has one. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.
BTW, did you notice the new countdown thingy? I saw one on a friends website and thought it was cool so I got one for the wedding. Yay me. We know how addicted to bligies I am. Wedding wise, nothing has changed since yesterday except that Angel doesn't know if she can go on Sunday. Her father is coming into town from Missouri and she wants to spend time with him, which I completely understand. I also sent a Evan & Lindsey a copy of their part of the guest list with the questions I had, so hopefully I'll get that back in a few days cause we need to start picking out invitations. The months are flying by really. Well now that the holidays are over, I think they'll go ever faster. Especially with me going back to school. There is still so much to do.
I didn't have to work today so that was awesome! Tammy called this morning and let me know she was back and asked if I just wanted to stay home & she'd work my hours. Nice! I was all for that. I was really gonna get my room cleaned but that just didn't work out. I really AM going to do it on Saturday. It is getting out of control. Stuff everywhere. Like a hurricane hit it. Kim was back today, but still no Glenda and tomorrow my Moo-Moo will be back!!! Im so FREAKING excited. I havent seen her in 2 weeks! I've missed my Moo. In other preschool news, Johni is going to the hospital tomorrow to have her baby via c-section! Im so excited, Im going to go visit her tomorrow after I get off work (the surgery should be over by then since it starts at 10AM). Hopefully I'll have pictures or at least a name tomorrow.
Thats all for now:)

See, Im Trying
Notice how Im trying to keep one of my New Year's Resolutions...Which is writing in my blog once a day...
Today wasn't too very exciting. Well last night Evan's emergency brake froze up and he couldn't drive home so he had to stay another night and missed work this morning. I went to work at 6am and my mom went with me (seeing as she is the boss) and it was SO freaking cold! The high today was like 18, tomorrow, 12! Nice. We need a snow day. Anyway, Mrs. Kim called in sick and said she would try to be in tomorrow while Mrs. Glenda didn't show up (even thoug she said she would after the first of the year, her father passed away in Costa Rica on December 15th and she has been there since). So it was just Mrs. Kathleen & I with 17 children (more then I thought, less then my mom thought there would be.) It was a little bit crazy, but it went alright. Kathleen had to leave early because her sister-in-law is in the hospital so she said she would open for me tomorrow and I didn't have to come in until 8:00! Nice, thats 2 extra hours of sleep and then I get off at 2:00, so it will be a nice short day. Well I get off at 2 if Kim is well and Glenda is back. Well actually only one of those have to happen. Anyway, Evan had AAA come out to tow his car and it turns out the guy who was towing it knew how to unfreeze the brakes! Yay, so he got to go home and finish out the day at work. He, unfortunately, doesn't think he'll be able to get off early enough for the tasting, which he supposedly asked off for weeks ago. He also has to have off the morning and some of the afternoon next Thursday because he has his oral interview with the state police. We'll see how it goes. So that was basically my day. Im EXHAUSTED! I forget how early 5am comes when I've been able to sleep in for most of the last 2 weeks. Ugh. I really, REALLY don't want to go back to school, but I must get that done.
On the wedding front, I think we have picked out a cake. Well we've narrowed it down to two or three. But you know me, I keep seeing more and not knowing which one I like. The one that is my favorite right now is an ivory buttercream cake w/4 layers, is circular, and has multi-colored rolled chocolate leaves cascading down the sides. It's very, very pretty. My second favorite currently is also an ivory cake, square shaped, with scroll work on each layer and rolled chocolate leaves, pumpkins, and acorns. Also very pretty. I dont know, it's hard to decide. I still can't decide if I want the burnt orange color for the bridesmaids, or the chocolate brown. Im really liking the chocolate brown/ivory color scheme, but the sage green looks really nice with the brown as well. But I also like the burnt orange the more I see it. I know I need to decide ASAP since we are supposed to be having a bridesmaid luncheon on the 12th of January. I still haven't been able to get ahold of Brittany and neither has Angel, we are both worried about her. I haven't really been able to get ahold of Angel either except through text messages and emails. I also asked Christiane to be a bridesmaid and she has yet to respond. We'll see how that goes. I also hope that Mark doesn't act like a huge baby during the wedding. He is currently going through this stage where he cries and screams and pitches huge fits when he doesn't get his way or his mom will not hold him ALL DAY LONG. It's bad news. He's not gonna be in any pictures or walk down the aisle if he acts a fool. Hopefully he grows up before the wedding. He was doing fine during the beginning of the year, but about October he just became a mess. Ugh. Oh well.
Thats all for now. Be proud of me keeping one of my resolutions.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
My first post of 2008 and two posts in one week..Whoa watch out..Firstly, a review..
January: The Colts beat the Patriots and earned their first Super Bowl berth since they came to Indianapolis. I started school at IBC and continued working at preschool. I also made the decision to move back home after living in my apartment at the end of the month.
February: The Colts WON the Superbowl on February 5th!
March: Evan and I began talking to each other at the beginning of the month and he started asking me out about the middle of the month. I told him no because I was too afraid of getting hurt again. Finished my first quarter at IBC and made the deans list. Made the promise to myself not to have sex again until I was in a solid relationship (a promise Evan & I have decided to keep until we are married)
April: Evan and I continued talking and I continued telling him no to dates or finding reasons not to go out. FINALLY got a raise at work!
May: Evan and I had our first date on May 27th! We went to Buca de Bepo and the Indianapolis Zoo and I knew from then on, he was the one. Mark, Cheryl, Josh & Jade came to visit so that Cheryl, mom, and Mark could run the mini-marathon as they do every year.
June: The summer program at preschool started and Becca began working with us. She was (and is) amazing and we found out she was engaged to be married! Evan and I continued dating and this month he met my parents.
July: The Squires/Valente/Frederick clan convened at our house for the annual race at the speedway. This is one of my favorite long weekends of the year because the house is packed to the gills with the most wonderful people. Also, had the most wonderful 4th of July with my parents and Evan. This is also the month that I found out that Jim & Rachel were seperating. This has been very hard to deal with and see the reasons why, even now.
August: School began in Wayne Township and we added huge numbers to the preschool. Evan and I began talking very seriously about marriage and I started expecting a proposal every time I saw him (silly me).
September: Whitney got married to Chuck on the 1st and I met Evan's family over Labor Day weekend. The most important even of this month? Evan & I got ENGAGED!!! He proposed on the 30th and I was completely surprised! It was the best proposal to the best guy.
October: We set a date for the wedding of October 4, 2008. This would have been my paternal grandparents 67th anniversary. We also celebrated Halloween at the preschool with all the kids and teachers dressing up.
November: The 18th was my 25th birthday, Evan got me an Ultrascope (awesome and it has frogs on it) and Shrek 3. My parents got me a really cool black pea coat. I had a surprise party at preschool and surprise roses from my parents on the church altar the day of my birthday. On that same day, the preschoolers gave a really cute performance in church. The month ended with Thanksgiving, which Evan celebrated with my family and he got to meet the family from Missouri/Arkansas because they were in town.
December: This month was hectic. Going to 4 different places for Christmas was rough, but everyone (on his side of the family) really made me feel welcome and got me very nice gifts! My top favorite gifts were my laptop (obviously) my diamond and sappphire heart necklace and the complete set of Harry Potter hardback books that came in a Hogwarts train case. Also this month, my aunt Carol married Marty on the 15th. They both seem very happy so we are happy for her. This same month saw the "big" party we had all been looking forward to since January. The celebration of my parents 35th wedding anniversary. We had the Squires clan stay with us from Thursday until this afternoon and had the Fredericks convene here most of the weekend as well as well as Evan. Everyone got along very well and we are planning a trip to Gulf Shores, AL during my next break from school (which will be at the end of March). The other big event in this month was that my dad retired from the police department after 32 years on the force. It was a big deal and a lot of past and present officers came to honor him at the open house. It was really neat to see how many lives my dad has impacted.
All in all, this has been a very good year. Meeting, falling in love, and getting engaged to Evan is something I never thought would happen. I am so lucky to have met him. And having parents that support me is a gift I could never payback. I know that 2008 will top 2007 because I am getting married and my parents will be moving into their dream home in Tennessee. I hope everyone out there had a great holiday season!
